Roots never has and never will conduct animal testing. When we create a product, we test it on ourselves, our friends, and anyone and everyone we can get our hands on! We test on people, never animals.

All haircare products are free from sulphates, parabens + phthalates.

Are Roots products gluten free?

Yes, we don't contain any wheat-based products

Are Roots products silicone free?

Silicones have a bad rep - but they are not always detrimental to your hair! They help create a sleek, shiny look but can sometimes weigh down hair. When we formulate products we determine whether silicones would be beneficial to the product. We are not always silicone-free, but we also don’t see that as a bad thing!

Can I use Roots professional on my children's hair?

Roots professional shampoo and conditioners are safe to use on all hair including children, the formulas contain no nasties. Knots and tangles will just disappear. Roots professional products will nourish and protect your child’s delicate hair in the same way as it does for adults. They can also use D-Stress topical if needed too

Will I need any other products to style my hair if I’m using the Roots professional system?

No. The results from the Roots professional products are perfect in transforming all hair, even damaged and dry hair to a sumptuous silky texture. The topicals stay on the scalp and do not make the hair at all oily. Not only do the products protect your hair against heat and humidity, but they also delivers a beautiful finish to the hair leaving the hair soft and easy to manage / style

What is the difference between the topical treatments?

How long will each 290ml bottle last?

This depends on how long your hair is. Generally speaking, if you have long hair and shampoo twice a week, a 290ml bottle will last around 2.5 months. A little more on shorter hair.
